I just checked your floatation center directory. They were called "spacetime tanks", apparently they are still in business, good for them. Like I said, always had really good floatation experiences there.

I experienced the "sensory deprivation tank" in Chicago, about 30 years ago. It was a small venue with about 4 tanks if I remember correctly. It was located just off fullerton st, about 1 and a half blocks from the biograph theater(where John dillinger was killed), BFD. The staff were great people, obviously users of the tanks. They seemed almost "unaturally" relaxed, even tempered, and pleasant. I may have floated 12, 15, or more times, and each time seemed uniquely different, deeper, richer, and I was always left with the feeling of an impending discovery of somthing new, and different about my inner self. I live in wasteland Miami where the experience is treated like something you would get in a spa with a massage. I'm more interested in repeating the same type of higher consciousness experience, that I had in Chicago.

Hi there! Thanks for this post. I am from San Diego and always wanted to float there but was never able to. I am very excited that there are two near me! I live in Westminster and get down to Denver quite often. A New Spirit has a website with lots of information and reasonable pricing, so I'll probably end up there! I'm so excited!
